Alyse Vordermark has been in the communications business since 1996 and has writing experience ranging from radio advertisements and catalog copy to grant proposals and magazine features.

From 1998 to 2001, Alyse worked at Best Buy’s corporate headquarters in Minneapolis as a manager of internal communications and was involved with all types of business communications including employee newsletters, annual reports and mergers and acquisitions.

After relocating to Phoenix in 2001, Alyse followed an opportunity to become the corporate development associate at the Desert Botanical Garden. There she was responsible for all grant writing and sponsorship proposals. With her corporate background, the Garden’s executive director invited her to join the organization’s marketing committee where she took part in creating marketing and media plans for Garden events and programs.

Then in 2004, after moving to Oregon, Alyse joined the staff at BrainstormNW magazine. She began her tenure at the magazine as marketing director and then moved to assistant editor and finally to managing editor. Throughout her time at BrainstormNW, Alyse played a major part in editorial decisions, worked with writers, designers and printers, acted as staff photographer, and wrote dozens of articles.

In 2007, Alyse decided it was time to go freelance and offer her writing skills to a new market. Since 2009, she has assisted a multitude of clients while working with The Carpe Viam Group. She also keeps her creativity flowing by volunteering for the Sherwood Foundation for the Arts.

Whatever project you have in mind, Alyse is ready to help!
